In the westernmost part of Tanzania it is possible to have one of the most unique and exclusive experiences of the African continent.
We offer here a luxury Safari, in a dream lodge, 11 days (arrival on Tuesday) with a first stop in Arusha at the National Park for an experience of walking safari and canoeing on Lake Momella. The remaining days will be a real journey in the journey to discover two fabulous and legendary parks: the Katavi and the Gombe, famous for its chimpanzees and ethological studies carried out by Jane Goodall.
Join us for a truly extraordinary experience, full of strong and unsurpassed emotions, where moments of adventure in the primordial nature will alternate with pampering and relaxation in exclusive refuges on Lake Tanganyika.

Day 1 - Transfer from Kilimanjaro Airport, reception, excursions in the area and overnight in Arusha
Arrival at the JRO airport where you will find our staff to welcome you; we will move to the hotel near the city and after a well-deserved rest, if there was time available, we will accompany you in visiting the city and the market of Arusha. We’ll go back to the hotel for dinner.

Day 2 - Safari by car, on foot and by boat in Arusha National Park - overnight in Arusha
After breakfast at the hotel we will leave for the safari at the National Park of Arusha, the only park where we will have the opportunity to have a safari on foot accompanied by an armed ranger that will safely allow us to approach a few meters from the animals in freedom. After the picnic on the shores of a pond, there will be the opportunity to make a canoe safari: an experience that will allow you to look at the African environment from another perspective, in a fun way. Then we will return to Arusha for dinner.

Day 3 - Departure from Arusha Airport to Katavi NP - overnight in Katavi
Early in the morning, the plane for Katavi Park (Ikuu Airstrip) awaits you on the runway of Arusha airport. You will reach the park and have lunch at the lodge. If you have time in the afternoon there will be a first game drive in the park. Overnight and dinner at the lodge in the park.

Day 4 - Safari in Katavi National Park - overnight in the park
In the morning and evening game drive to discover the wonders of the park with back for brunch at the lodge. The afternoon is free, you can relax before the second game drive of the day. Dinner and overnight in the park.

Day 5 - Safari in Katavi National Park - overnight in the park
The whole day will be dedicated to the game drive in the park to discover all its corners. Return in the late afternoon to the lodge for dinner. If you want you will also have the opportunity to play a game drive at night (optional extra 85$ pp). Overnight at the lodge.

Day 6 - Safari in Katavi National Park - overnight in the park
After breakfast departure for the game drive in the morning, you will return for brunch and the afternoon will be free. Towards evening you will play another game drive. If you want you will have the possibility to play also a game drive night (optional extra 85$ pp). Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 7 - Departure from Ikuu Airstrip to Gombe NP - overnight in Gombe
Early in the morning you will be on the Ikuu Airstrip runway the plane to Kigoma airport near the Gombe National Park. You will have lunch at the Hilltop Hotel in Kigoma with a beautiful lake view. After a boat transfer (dhow) you will reach the park. In the afternoon there will be a first approach with tracking in the Gombe. Overnight and dinner at the lodge in the park.

Day 8 - Safari and birdwatching in Gombe National Park - overnight in the park
When you wake up you will discover the wonders of the park but above all you will do the day trip in search of chimpanzees. In the afternoon there will be the opportunity to go on a boat safari (optional extra activity) to discover the nearby fishing village of Mwamgongo. Dinner and overnight in the park.

Day 9 - Kigoma, sightseeing - overnight in Kigoma
In the morning departure for transfer by boat at the Kigoma Hilltop Hotel. The afternoon will be dedicated to relaxing at the hotel swimming pool overlooking Lake Tanganyika. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 10 - Return to Arusha - overnight in Arusha
In the morning transfer to Kigoma airport and flight in the afternoon to Arusha. Overnight and dinner (not included) at the lodge in Arusha.

Day 11 - Morning in and around Arusha - transfer to airport or departure by sea extension
For the last day the activities depend on the time of your flight, but we will try to dedicate the morning to the visit of Arusha and its surroundings and then head to the international airport of Kilimanjaro for the return or for the sea extension.
