We offer here a luxury Safari, in a dream lodge, 8 days (from Tuesday to Tuesday) with a first stop in Arusha at the National Park for an experience of walking safari and canoeing on Lake Momella. Four days will then be dedicated to the Katavi National Park: you will live an exciting experience in the bush with breathtaking views of the vast plains of Katisunga populated by an incredible wildlife.
Leave with us for a truly extraordinary experience: the Katavi is the ideal destination for the traveller who is looking for a truly remote experience away from the beaten tourist routes, with the encounter of endemic and unique animals, little accustomed to contact with humans.

Day 1 - Transfer from Kilimanjaro Airport, reception, excursions in the area and overnight in Arusha
Arrival at the JRO airport where you will find our staff to welcome you; we will move to the hotel near the city and after a well-deserved rest, if there was time available, we will accompany you in visiting the city and the market of Arusha. We’ll go back to the hotel for dinner.

Day 2 - Safari by car, on foot and by boat in Arusha National Park - overnight in Arusha
After breakfast at the hotel we will leave for the safari at the National Park of Arusha, the only park where we will have the opportunity to have a safari on foot accompanied by an armed ranger that will safely allow us to approach a few meters from the animals in freedom. After the picnic on the shores of a pond, there will be the opportunity to make a canoe safari: an experience that will allow you to look at the African environment from another perspective, in a fun way. Then we will return to Arusha for dinner.

Day 3 - Departure from Arusha Airport to Katavi NP - overnight in Katavi
Early in the morning, the plane for Katavi airport (Ikuu Airstrip) awaits you on the runway of Arusha airport. You will reach the park and have lunch at the lodge. If you have time in the afternoon there will be a first game drive in the park. Overnight and dinner at the lodge in the park.

Day 4 - Safari in Katavi National Park - overnight in the park
In the morning and evening game drive to discover the wonders of the park with return for lunch at the lodge. The afternoon is free, you can relax before the second game drive of the day. Dinner and overnight in the park.

Day 5 - Safari in Katavi National Park - overnight in the park
The whole day will be dedicated to the game drive in the park to discover all its corners. Return in the late afternoon to the lodge for dinner. If you want you can also play a game drive at night (optional extra 85$ pp). Overnight at the lodge.

Day 6 - Safari in Katavi National Park - overnight in the park
After breakfast you will leave for the game drive in the morning, you will return for brunch and the afternoon will be free. Towards evening you will play another game drive. If you want you will have the possibility to play also a game drive night (optional extra 85$ pp). Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 7 - Return to Arusha - overnight in Arusha
In the morning you will start the day of transfer and return to Arusha: you will leave the park to reach the Ikuu Airstrip by flight in the afternoon to Arusha. Overnight and dinner (not included) at the lodge in Arusha.

Day 8 - Morning in and around Arusha - transfer to airport or departure by sea extension
For the last day the activities depend on the time of your flight, but we will try to dedicate the morning to the visit of Arusha and its surroundings and then head to the international airport of Kilimanjaro for the return or for the sea extension.
