Senior safari 6 days: “Safaris are dusty and dirty trips, suitable only for young people willing to sacrifice their comforts for a life as campers in the bush”. Well, that’s not true at all. This is a common misunderstanding. Now “over” travelers are increasingly looking for simple and modular options. Comfort and practicality are the second name of the 6-day senior safari that our staff has designed especially for you.
Our proposal favours accessible parks with less bumpy and dusty routes, ensuring a truly special treatment in the lodges we have selected. Our guides will be at your side to make your African adventure even more unforgettable.
Even the rhythm of the safari will be more meditative with the inclusion of moments of relaxation and full enjoyment of the comforts of the facilities where you will stay. All this in the name of maximum flexibility and maximum availability to change routes (in reference to the period) and situations for your particular needs. All meals are included.

The safari will take place through the beautiful northern routes to discover the national parks of Arusha, Ngorongoro and Tarangire and stop at the city of Moshi.

Day 1 - Transfer from Kilimanjaro Airport-reception-excursions in area and overnight in Arusha
Arrival at the JRO airport where you will find our staff to welcome you; we will move to the hotel near the city and after a well-deserved rest, if there was time available, we will accompany you in visiting the city and the market of Arusha. We’ll go back to the hotel for dinner.

Day 2 - Safari by car and later on foot in the Arusha National park - overnight in Karatu
After breakfast at the hotel we will leave for the safari at the National Park of Arusha, the only park where we will have the opportunity to have a safari on foot, accompanied by an armed ranger who will safely allow us to approach a few meters from the animals. After the picnic on the shores of the lakes Momela, we will move to Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 - Tarangire NP - overnight in Karatu
After breakfast at the hotel we will leave for the safari by car to the National Park of Tarangire. The whole day will be dedicated to the visit of the park, uncontested kingdom of magnificent elephants and imposing baobab, and then move for dinner and overnight in Karatu.

Day 4 - Ngorongoro Conservation Area and village Masa i- overnight in Karatu
Upon awakening and well recharged we will reach the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with the famous crater and its huge protected caldera that houses thousands of animals and where there is the highest probability of seeing the black rhinoceros, now almost extinct in the lands of Tanzania. We will also visit a Masai village. Dinner and overnight in Karatu.

Day 5 - morning of relaxation and transfer to Moshi - overnight in Moshi
In the morning we will spend some time relaxing and then continue the journey to Moshi, where we will stay in the Bed and Breakfast school that we support: More Than A Drop.

Day 6 - visit to coffee plantations - transfer to the airport to Italy or possible departure by sea extension
For the last day the activities depend on the time of your flight, but we will try to dedicate the morning to visit the typical coffee plantations in the area, at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro.
